Prepping for the weekly game. Because of NTRPGCon and my anniversary trip to Virginia Beach this week, I’m doing something I’ve not done in years and punting by picking a dungeon I did not write. I chose I7 Baltron’s Beacon as I’ve never run it. I have to say, it’s quite awesome looking despite the Mentzer taint on it. It fits my needs well and looks fun! I’ll pass along a report later.

I'm not familiar with the module, so I'll be very interested to hear how it goes! Also, what are you smoking and drinking tonight?

I myself have been rearranging my studio and putting up up shelves. Much prefer the art table and easel overlooking the stairway: I just can't get comfortable doing art while directly facing a wall (though it's not an issue when on the computer, which I guess is weird but since I'm in this space a lot I figured I'd make it optimum.

Tomorrow is Father's Day, so I'll just be keeping myself busy catching up on some housework. Too hot and muggy to work on the yard.

The cigar is H. Upmann and the whiskey is standard Bulleit. We’ll see how the party fares later this evening...

Great space, Tony!

Thanks Keith. Unfortunately it is also the hottest part of the house, but it has a nice view and it is just the right size.

Tonight will be a cherry blend for the pipe and my good friend Glenlivet 12 w/2 rocks for the glass. Happy weekend, gentlemen!

@Welleran: Keith, It's been quite awhile since I read I7, but I remember running it for one of my campaigns at home, and I think it was a pretty good adventure. It was re-located into Keoland IIRC by Erik Mona during his Greyhawk management tenure.

@Wheggi: Looks like a great working space, Tony. I need to work on one of those.

Is that a new TTS map I see on your easel? ;)

On the easel is a board that I’m prepping, but there is a couple TTS maps on the clipboard by the tiki mug shelf. #1 and #2

Had a nice celebration with Heather's family for Father's Day: got together for lunch (Heather and I picked up chicken tikka masala at our favorite Indian restaurant in town), then we all played games online with my niece before heading out to see Incredibles 2 (which was excellent). I hope everyone else had a good Father's Day!

In the morning, the boys and I unloaded the minivan from our trip to NTX last weekend. The past few shows, I've talked about planning to shift the boxes off of the game room table (where they've been stacked the past several years of convention-going) into the laundry room. So this time we cleared off a pallet in there, pulled a half-pallet over, and unloaded the van to the pallets, then moved the remaining boxes into the laundry room too!:

So, now we've got a dedicate place to set up Aliens for more than an afternoon and evening, to let a D&D game sit, and to work on minis :D

Kudos on clearing space, Allan!

We laid low and just hung out around the house all weekend. Had a birthday party for the two youngest on Saturday.

Not sure about this coming weekend.

Saw Incredibles 2 with all my in-laws on Saturday morning (good stuff, assuming you liked the first Incredibles) and spent the rest of the weekend working around the apartment - rearranging all of our shelves (which also required moving and re-hanging a bunch of art and a giant mirror) and going through a bunch of boxes that we've had sitting around since we moved (over a year ago  ). By Sunday evening we were both exhausted, but agreed that the place looks a lot nicer. It was fun to see my wife rediscover a bunch of stuff that she'd put into storage when she originally moved in with me 3 years ago because we didn't have any room for it at the old place :)
