When was the last time you offed a fellow player's PC?

If you will note... most of the examples given in this thread (mine included) have NOTHING to do with "playing environment" or the actions or attitudes of any specific PLAYER!
They are CHARACTER actions based on IN-GAME CHARACTER interactions and actions!

Or in the case of Trent killing my characters, just plain bad luck.

Re: When was the last time you offed a fellow player's PC?
OK there was another time we not so much kill PCs as let them die. During the fall of 84' I was part of a D&D club at my highschool (its first year). We expected maybe a dozen people, but the word got out and about 50 showed up. Even splitting the group, it was impossible to deal with. So when battles took place, those we didn't like, or didn't know (most with little experiance) we let die when we could have applied first aid, healed or advised them of smart tactics (a few of the experienced guys even gave bad advice that ended up in deaths). After an hour we were down to the original dozen friends we expected to play (plus a few of the cooler underclassmen that had some experience playing ). That didn't deter the hoards though, and more were back the following week. Before we knew it there were 100+ members and we were out, too many uber-uber-geeks to deal with, it was the first time I realized its more important who you play with then what you play (these guys played 1E like it was 2E before 2E ever existed.) But that first game was a trip and a great memory.

About three years ago I was running a Magic user in D&D rulescyclpedia adventure and I fried my now ex sister in laws thief with a fire ball.

It is still the PLAYER who makes the decision to have his character kill another character. Sure, that decision might be an indirect one due to a personality quirk or alignment or whatever, but at the end of the day all of those aspects were created by the PLAYER.BlackBat242 wrote:
