WAIT! I think I've got it!
I don't know what the proper name for them is, but you're one of those containers of salt where, instead of removing a lid, you have to turn a plastic covering until you uncover some holes! You turn them, and the salt comes out... then you turn them again, and the salt won't mingle with dust and bugs that may be lingering in the air.
I hope the above made sense. Am I right?
