That's a beautiful spread, Welleran.
In Omaha, you say? There's only fuck all in the western half of Nebraska.
Bought 2 six-packs last week, Empyrean Brewing Company (Lincoln Nebraska) Dark Side Vanilla Porter (5.7%) and Boulevard Brewing Co. (Kansas City) Nut Cracker Winter Warmer Ale (7.8%).
I had one of each the other night, and cannot recall which tasted like which now. Woke up with a slight hangover.

Boulevard beer does that, or at least that's always been my experience with the Bully Porter.bobjester wrote:Bought 2 six-packs last week, Empyrean Brewing Company (Lincoln Nebraska) Dark Side Vanilla Porter (5.7%) and Boulevard Brewing Co. (Kansas City) Nut Cracker Winter Warmer Ale (7.8%).

I've been working my way through a six of Zip Line Oatmeal Porter, from Lincoln, NE, and a six of Leinenkugel Creamy Dark. I'd never heard of Zip Line before. Learned about Leinenkugel from a little Czech/Bohemian place in Omaha about 10-12 years ago. It was much better ice cold on tap there than from the bottles I buy here.

I went to a Zip Line by my hotel in Omaha last week. I liked their stuff even better than Brickway and Upstream’s. Good stuff!!

Had a Bell's Hopslam with my lunch today.
Damn, 10% ABV beers really do hit you once you stand up.
Gonna be an interesting afternoon for a bit.

Alewerks Tavern Brown Ale. Most excellent beverage while one of my PCs is swallowed whole and incinerated by a Remorhaz!

I want one of those!

I tried some Batch 1000 by Granite City on my last trip to Chicago. It’s a double IPA with a 9% ABV. The locals were pretty enthusiastic about it, but it seemed pretty generic to me. Good, but not something I’d go out of my way to recommend.

I saw this guy with a wizard hat on assembling a Dwarven Forge dungeon. I walked up and asked if I could play. Without looking up he answered, “Table’s full.”
