I'll see about prepping a couple of things I can run, too.

I'm thinking off-grid and pick-up games may be the Alehouse Way. ;)

Argh, completely forgot about registration and now all the games I had on my radar are full.

Is anyone planning to run an off-grid game Friday daytime or Saturday night that I can join?

Jimm: I don't see your name on the list for my game on Sat night. Looking again I don't see your name on any of the above except the Knights & Knaves Social. Are you sure you checked out properly?

Unfortunately my game is now full & I've already promised the extra seats to Allan's son and another fellow.

For those who forgot to register, most of Paul Stormberg's games still have some seats (except the Sat night one). Doug said he just added his games yesterday morning, so I think many were not aware and no early tix were purchased:

That's disturbing! Last night "My Schedule" on Tabletop showed all of those. Now it is empty!!!

What do you mean "checked out properly"? I was logged in, hit the "get ticket" button, and it told me I had a ticket. I verified by looking at "My Schedule" and all the events I signed up for were showing. Is there some additional "check out" procedure? Apparently I failed. :x

EDIT: I never went to the "CART" and hit the final checkout button. Ugh! Major fail!

EDIT#2: Just went back and signed up for what I could. Got about half of what I signed up for last night, but the following were full now:

WED: ISLE DREADMOOR
SAT: RETURN TO ZENOPUS TOWER
SUN: WHICH WAY

Hey Steve and Zenopus--
Any chance I can get into those games still?
If you don't want to go over the limit, it's OK. My goof.

I'm not sure either. I think the last sets of kids games were before NTX moved over to TableTop.Events, so that seems like a Q for Doug and Mike on the FB group. I'll add it to my thread there about kids events.

Weird. Jimm, I could've sworn I saw your name listed for the Wed night Isle of Dreadmoor. But I just checked, and your name isn't there.

You (and any other Alehouse member) are free to join in any of my games.

Allan.
Last year I e-mailed Doug, and had me create accounts for my kids who got in for free, since they were only going to play in the one D&D kids' game. IIRC, if your kids are going to play in more than one game, he said I would need to buy tickets for them.

I might be up for a Sunday morning game if someone wants to run something.

I have questions about protocol. Is it okay to bring drinks and snacks to the table?

What about a dice bag and a PH?

Are the games normally played with minis?

Same here - totally forgot.

I purchased some badges, previously, though. So my official schedule is:

Thu 6pm: KnK Social
Fri 6pm: The Purple Worm Graveyard
Sat 7 pm: Return to the Tower of Zenopus

I'll see some of you in those games. Looking forward to it!

Other than that, I'll be off-grid. I'm OK with that. :)

Yes, drinks and snacks are OK. Obviously, you don't want to have snacks splayed all over the game table. I usually have snacks in a backpack that I lug around.

Dice and PH are expected for players when possible. Certainly dice.

Minis are dependent on the DM, but I haven't seen them used a lot. Every game table has a wet erase mat with markers, which the DM can opt to use for drawing out areas.

There are convention employees who will walk around taking orders for snacks and meals during games too, and it's not uncommon for people to eat a dinner or lunch during a game. In the current convention location, there isn't much in the way of food, so you'll want to bring some extra $$$ for eating at the hotel restaurant. Meals are about $10 a plate, IIRC, which is a discounted rate for convention attendees. There's a Denny's across the street and a local gas station right across the street too, which is good for soda and/or snacks.

Yeah, I *was* on the list, but I guess when I logged out without checking out of my cart I lost everything.

Thanks for letting me have a seat anyway! :D

I also fouled up and missed the window of game registration Friday night and all the games I was hoping to play in are filled. If anyone has a slot for an AD&D/D&D game Thursday or Friday, afternoon or evening please ping me. I will probably roam around the tables for the games I missed and try to find a open slot if fate allows otherwise.

I’ll have room Thursday morning for my Forgotten Grottoes of the Sea Lords game. However, unfortunately they scheduled my game at 8am rather than the 9am I’d requested, so it’ll be early!
