Cool. What kind of armor (i.e., which period/nations)? What rules set do you have in mind?

WWII, all tanks.

US: Shermans, Stuarts, Hellcats, Pershings Unpainted: Half tracks, Priest mobile Artillery
UK: Valentines, Churchills (unpainted)
Soviet: T-34, T-26, Unpainted: Kayashuka Rocket trucks
German: Stug III, Pzkw III, IV, V, VI Unpainted: Pkzw II, 38, Trucks, 88s

I bought all of these from historicalboardgaming.com. They are plastic, essentially being fancy Axis and Allies pieces, and cost $2.85-$3.45 for 5 pieces. And they are right at 1/285 scale,. comparing to similar, metal models.

I've never done anything like this before, and honestly, anything better than how they come out of the box is fine. I didn't even clip the sprue marks. Attached are some before/after pics.

As for rules, I'll be using Kevin Cabai's Jagdpanzer rules.

So far I've repaired a leaking water main. I've caught another hog in the trap, shot and butchered it. Today's plan is to smoke the last 2 hogs. I also did some burning yesterday. Does anyone else really like fire here or is it just me? So pretty. :)

Where are you at Ratbreath? Nice looking property.

I'm cleaning my office this morning. Wanted to work on the yard, but I asked the boys to do it. I'll have some nephews and a niece visiting for the next few days, so we'll probably do some BBQing. I have some pork tenderloins, a pork shoulder, and a bunch of sausage I could use up.

Painting a Florida bobcat and cleaning up the yard. Started the Moat house last night. Two thieves (my human thief and a second level dwarf thief) were the sole survivors of the frog attack the rest dragged off into the bog.

Yes rat breath....I like fires.

I painted and prepped some miscellaneous minis this morning, played SPI’s Sauron solo for the first time in 35 years, and now am celebrating the blowout victory of The Last Alliance ofMen and Elves with bourbon and a cigar.

Played Viticulture with the family for the first time. It proved enjoyable, once we got the hang of all the moving parts.
Smoked a couple cigars.
Watched the first 2 Horblower movie adaptations with Ioan Gryffud.
Got some new books on sailing.

This upcoming weekend: moving!

Last weekend that just ended: packing (and also fighting with our Internet provider who shut off service at our old address a week early because they sent a technician out to the new place to run the wiring and apparently he told them to shut off service at our old address which was a big problem because I'm still working from home here all week; it took several hours on the phone talking to about a dozen service reps over two days before we finally got the service reconnected at ~9pm yesterday; not really the way we had intended to spend our last pre-move weekend :| )

My son 3D printed a piece of scatter terrain for 25/28mm minis, and I painted it up. There are some glaring issues I see that I can touch up, but overall, for my first attempt at something like this, I'm very happy with it.

After 5 days in Texas at the con I have a lot of yard work to catch up on. Did some weeding and clipping today. Bought some more gasoline for the riding mower. I have three acres along the White River in Arkansas to mow down. I mowed the front the day before I left for the convention and it already looks like I need to mow it again. I think my Jack Russel over-fertilized the lawn while I was away.
