Painting exterior of house by day (and the prep work). Killing giant spiders by night. Near TPK from a nightime worg attack. Halfling F/T and my MU (with a jump spell into tree) survived. All the lovely magic of the rest of the group was lost.

Daughters visiting from out of state, and so a little Spirits Over Arkham for Call of Cthulhu craziness. They're not much into fantasy rpg, but they dig Call of Cthulhu. Especially when everything around is mostly shutdown.
Rebuilt back steps, pressure washed deck and general backyard sprucing up and cleaning. The shed needs a good clearing out and reorganizing.

The adults found The Illhiedrin Book last night. Later on today the kids go on the Quest for the Enchanted Sword! Fun fun.

Spreading mulch. Had 15 cubic feet delivered. It's a lot more fucking mulch than it sounded like!
Bah, barely a half cubic yard!
I think we have a cubic yard or so left of the 3 or 4 cubic yards we had delivered last fall.

Celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary last night. We ordered Bonefish Grill in, and watched Silver Linings Playbook, which was good. Also picked up Dunkin Donuts as a treat for the boys.
Heather gave me _Die Nibelungen: Kino Classics Deluxe Remastered Edition_ (from Gabor’s years-ago recommendation), the two CD remaster of Tori Amos’ _Under the Pink_, _Bookhounds of London_ (for Trail of Cthulhu, written by Ken Hite, and should be useful for occult bookshops in Greyhawk too), and _The Encyclopedia of Caves_, which is pretty cool (I foresee more caves and caverns in my near-term map-designing future

).
Running Greyhawk this afternoon, will be curious to see where the PCs go from here, with three of them now leveled to 2nd.
Allan.

The main project for yesterday was to get some garden beds made before it rained last night.
The main power tool work was done. Just a little bit of assembly and some screws to complete them.
That is a 10% slope I get to deal with.
Also, just found out that the water line to the fridge has had a small hole in it for the last 2 days or so. I think that means a trip to the hardware store and replacing that line is probably today's main project.

I've about given up on raised gardens at this point. They seem to help the weeds more than anything else. What are you planting?
I've finally gotten a good, healthy avocado tree big and bushy and now I'm realizing that some sort of bug is eating the flowers before they can fruit. Hrm. Too late for action on that this year.

My 15 cubic feet arrived in a fullish dump truck ($450). I didn't really stop to do the math, I just sorta saw a measurement in cubic yards and imagined having way more without thinking about it. Maybe one of us is confused. Probably me, brain fried after hauling that shit around the yard in the sun for the past three days.

Vegetables but we aren't sure yet. Probably tomatoes in one bed.

I would say then for that price and volume it was 15 cubic yards, typically just referred to as yards.
That could easily take 3 days to move around. I mean, moving 3 yards of mulch in a day will tire you tf out.

I don't remember if you're in Texas but I've found broccoli and asparagus really easy to grow in raised gardens like that. I keep meaning to plant some berries but I've always got so many other things that need work. I barely even take advantage of my grapes.

Yeah. A big truck can haul 20 cubic yards and that price sounds like yards instead of feet.

In the Midwest but we go for bang for our growing buck which is usually tomatoes and cucumbers.
We shop the farmers markets for other vegetables that we could grow but a pain to do in any quantities.
We have a decent availability of you-pick places for strawberries and blueberries and such.

Mega-shit-ton of yard work
and pressure washed my car (covered in two years worth of pollen). Still aching!
