Well, who woulda thought there were two Staybridge Suites in Irving, TX!

I booked the wrong one, then called and had the reservation transferred to the correct hotel. The total bill, however, is now about $100 more than I anticipated.

ANGRY WIZARD and I are splitting the room, but we're now looking for anyone who wants some floor space to crash on. $40 for each night or $100 for all three.

When you had them transfer the room, was it booked at the NTX convention rate? If you didn't ask for that explicitly, it may not have been done. It's probly worth a call to the DFW Staybridge directly @ 972-401-4700

I booked through hotel.com, so I don't know if I can switch to the convention rates at this point. Here's what I ended up paying. I have no idea why Thurs. is $60 more than Fri./Sat.

6/2: $153.95 per night
6/3 - 6/4: $95.95 per night

Anybody know what the convention rates are?
I may have gotten a better deal as it is.

I emailed badmike about the discounted rates today. I couldn't find a code or anything anywhere so I didn't book yet. I prefer doing stuff like that by phone.

hell yeah dude.. if you want, il call them and try'n low-ball them cats... i pretty much low-ball people for a living... i once convinced paypal to change there money transfer rules for me... im pretty good at that noise.. id like to have some spending cash other than hotel rooms... but i still wouldn't mind sharing the floor in the hotel room.. as long as you have never been on To Catch A Predator........ and if your wondering.. yes jim will spoon with you..

I called hotels.com. Got no where until I made them transfer my call up the chain. They will refund the reservation if they have permission to do so from the manager of the hotel. She'll be in in the the morning. After I call her, then I have to call hotels.com back, and give them her contact info so they can verify permission to do the refund. Then I can re-book directly with the hotel at the con-rate.

Looks like you guys figured it out!

You're right, there are two Staybridge Suites in Irving (Rob Kuntz also booked the wrong one!). The link is on the NTRPG con website. To get the discounted rates you have to call the hotel directly, you can't go through a website or the national site. Ask for the North Texas RPG convention rate. My brother found cheaper rates online for Friday and Saturday nights, but Thursday nights were always around $130 or more. Best just to get the con rates if you are staying all three nights.

Worked it out and was able to get all three nights at the reduced rate.

The floor space offer still stands if anybody wants it. We can negotiate the price.

EXCELLENT!!.. Sorry i missed your call, i was actually getting more that 4 hours of sleep.... i had Tsuwa up till 2 running around with the neighbors dog.. that seemed to do the trick.
