I recently got rid of most of my dice, giving a bunch to my kids. I kept most of my gamescience dice, as shown below:

I also have a similar sized box with various d6 dice (including some red and green translucent dice from the 60s), souvenir dice (gencon, garycon, etc..), and my old TSR and armory sets from the 80s.

Fran that picture fucking rocks on so many levels.

While my translucent green Gamescience and casino dice set still rocks some serious awesome I've lately been using a non-color matched set of opaque precision dice. But non-color matched does not rock some serious awesome. So, I simply had to order some matched Diamond Dice sets.

Recently I've used very fine Sharpie markers for inking, but with these guys I think I'm going all the way back with some crayons. Now I just have to decide which colors to go with.

Nice! I've got the crimson and wisteria ones amongst my lot. There's something about the colour of the wisteria purple ones when inked with white acrylic that I really dig... like they're medical prosthetic plastic or something.

Just looking at that wisteria hex colour page, which shows a greenish complementary colour, shares a weird synchronicity with this that I just noticed not five minutes ago:

Ah yes. That color I understand. :)

I started with the dark blue last night, so far I'm really liking the yellow numbers.

The "Mindflayer Mauve" set is the one vexing me. Not sure what color to choose for these. I had been thinking of going with a light green, but I'm wondering if I better go with something dark for contrast.

I reckon light green would look good. I have a similar colour scheme on my Amethyst ones (photos on another computer which I'm away from). Here's how I did my mind flayers: http://knights-n-knaves.com/phpbb3/view ... 47#p100047

Bump

My latest old-school gamescience acquisition.

vintage 80s 6-die "+d20" set, still in the blister pack. shockingly, I was the only bidder. $5.95 + $3.36 shipping.

I feel sorry for those suckers who are dropping $40/set for the shit made by gamestation, and having to clip off the sprue protrusions. I've never had to do that with the dice from the 80s.

Nothing exciting about my dice, but I am very happy with my new dice bag. The other day my wife handed me a package that contained a bottle of Blanton's bourbon (one of the best, BTW) in a Blanton's bag. "I thought you needed a new dice bag." She's definitely a keeper!
