I believe ties were just simultaneous in Kask's game.

I tried to bribe him last year mid-game. He will not be bought.

I deliberately haven't registered for a game on Saturday night. I have a feeling there'll be an opening in something I haven't tried or a pick-up game of something worth playing.

Looking forward to seeing y'all.

And my wife, who'll visit as baby sitters permit her to get away from our brood (who are still, alas, too young) is looking forward to meeting y'all. 8)

*You have not registered for a Saturday evening game
*Your wife needs a babysitter to free her up to enjoin NTRPGCon, or at least meet some folks
ergo
*You will be babysitting the kids on Saturday night!!!

Hmmm. You might want to rethink leaving Saturday evening open. In fact, I better double check that I have something scheduled for Saturday night. I don't want to become the babysitter.

LOL!
She knows I'll be at the con and, although she doesn't like gaming, she does like watching gamers (especially me) game. She'll bring the littlest one, but the three older boys will be home with the sitter.

It's all good.

The die is cast - my plane ticket has been purchased. I'll be arriving at DFW after midnight local time on Thursday (technically very early Friday), which kinda sucks but was the best I could do. Presumably no gaming will be done that night but if anybody's up for some late-nite drinking and socializing let me know 8)

It's probably important that I get a review of the liquor laws of the particular hosting county. Where exactly can't I bring a drink? Please note, I live in a civilized city where the only place an open container is forbidden is inside of a motorized vehicle (and even that is rather recent).

Since my work situation is now uncertain, I may end up joining that little party.

I was pretty floored when I discovered the drive-thru liquor stores in NO when I was there for a conference a few years ago....

Is the drinking age still 18? I went there when I was 19 in 1993 on spring break during St. Patrick's Day and it was one of the best times I ever had. Except when the stripper begged me for a dollar so she could buy a cheeseburger and then made dog barking noises. That was weird.
