About the only place you can smoke a cigar is in a pub, and not in all of those.

There is nothing better than tossing some dice while drinking Guinness and smoking a good cigar. There is no better way to game!

I smoke a cigar once or twice a year...
At the Con, there are some tables outside on the back patio... if the weather is nice, someone might want to move their game outside .... then you can smoke all you want

Never know!
Honestly, it's not that big a deal to me at all. I usually don't smoke any in the winter and maybe only once a week in the summer, depending on the weather and travel. I probably smoke 20-25 cigars a year. Right now, it's been so long that I can't even remember the last time (other than saying "last summer").
Best time here Charlotte is late afternoon and early evening in the spring or fall, when it's not too hot. Put some music on, grab a beer. Stare at the trees. Daydream. Enjoy not being in the office.

I got my two events: I would registered for others, but the other sessions that really caught my eye conflict with my DMing schedule. *Le sigh*

I didn't sign up for anything on Thursday or Friday a.m. because I don't know when I'm actually going to be flying in. I did grab spots in two of the "celebrity" games -- Tim Kask on Friday, RJK on Saturday -- plus I signed up for some chariot-racing, hoping it's as much fun as the old "Glathricon 500"
Speed Circuit-with-matchbox-cars homebrew game that was one of my favorite traditions at our old local con

Like Trent, I also didn't sign up for anything on Thurs. However, I am wagering that I'll be getting in to Texas in time for a Fri AM game, so I signed up for grodog's game that morning. Am catching the two seminars on Sat (jason b.'s art discussion and the megadungeon panel) then am gaming in Rob's game in the PM. Looking forward to it all!

I'm registered:
Thursday: Mythmere's megadungeon in AM
Friday: North's game in AM and Steve Winters' Mystara game in PM
Saturday: Philotomy's game in the AM
I got nothing going saturday night, so I'll be looking for some pickup games.
grodog, didn't register for any of your games, as I'm hoping to catch you in March. (fingers crossed).

I registered for Rob's Thursday night game, and Tim's Saturday night game, with hopes for open/pickup gaming on Saturday night.
re: Rich: I had to do the same thing with Tim's CM games---I'm hoping to play in March at GaryCon.

Jason B's art seminar will be hands on also...I believe it will be a teaching session as well. We are not exactly sure what he's going to do, but if you know Jason, he's a real hoot...it should be fun.

Joe, I'm showing you as "registered" when I log in as Admin. Give it a try. If not, I'll try to bump you up, since you're running a game.
Also, FYI Joe is also thinking about running a Stormbringer or CoC game (Saturday night would be good as we have two slots) so you might leave a a time slot open for him.....
If someone wanted to run a K&K exclusive game I have no problem with giving you your own official slot as long as you can get at least 8 people to guarantee...right now we have Sunday morning, Friday night, Sat morning and Sat night slots.....
Another FYI is anyone is thinking they might want to run a session, all DMs get free drinks and snacks during their games, whoo-hooo!
BTW Grodog's "Castle Greyhawk" session is almost full after one day!

I had been worried about remembering to get online at midnight to sign up because I remember last year how fast those seats were taken. I see as of now Rob's Saturday night filled up already with 2 left on Thursday. Kask's Friday nighter has only a few spots left.
I wonder if I am going to regret not signing up for Winter's game!
Here is some good con advice. Remember to have an alarm clock & also do not forget the time change! I almost missed Allan's game last year & it's an early start again!
Plan on little sleep...I still remember the feeling on Sunday last year. I think half the bus was asleep on the way to Reapers and then completely zonked back.

You're making it this year! Awesome. You're a helluva swell guy to game with, Cim.
