As a point of interest has anyone out there gone to the trouble to make their OSRIC printout look the same as the Collectors Edition D&D3.5E books?
Eg: leather-bound them with silver embossed letters?

Does anyone know of a company that would do this?

Just curious

I looked into doing that on some other book years ago -- it was really expensive for a single book. I don't remember the company I talked to, but it's probably easy to find some on the net, these days.

Making a custom hard bound book is possible but more expensive. It cost me about $9.00 apiece and takes a couple of hours. I made myself a new set of 1st edition AD&D from PDF. With the new version of OSRIC coming out soon I'll wait till it gets released before I make a hard bound copy and post the how to. But if they will be selling it through Lulu it will probably be cheaper to buy it there. Then again if you want a nice custom leather bound copy I'll show you how.

Any news on the hardcover yet? - It would be quite useful, since I'll be giving away my 1e DMG to a promising group of youngsters...

There are various people beavering away at different aspects of it at the moment (Flambeaux is converting the animals to OSRIC format for me, there's some work going on about treasure tables, etc.)

It's all happening at its own speed. I'm sorry this is slower than originally envisaged.

:) No problem. Just wanted to know if I maybe had missed the release or something. I'll be sure to get it, however, whenever it gets out.

For that matter, what companies does one go to if one, say, has a series of paperback novels they want converted to custom hardcover, and/or reprinted on higher-quality paper?

By the way, Stuart, my feelings won't be hurt if you decide to replace some or all of my clumsy artwork with the higher-quality art that's being produced by the volunteer artists. :D

Well, maybe I'll be able to do a couple of more pictures for the next release then. I'll have to see as I'm still in a hotel trying to do some house hunting. With the family here, it makes it pretty much impossible for me to really get any projects done.
