[OSRIC] Insect Shrine of Goblin Hill (LotFPRPG 1) Updates?
Hey Jim,
Do you have an updated release date for Insect Shrine of Goblin Hill?
I've kind of been looking forward to this adventure, and was just wondering when it may be coming out.
BTW - did you get my order from a couple of weeks ago? Sent payment by PayPal.
thanks,
tacojohn4547

The last update from Jim, on this site, was January 23. Unfortunate, because the preview showed promise.
<Looks for the vaporware* bin>
Do you see why I rarely pre-order anything? I note the paypal link for the pre-orders is still working fine.
I assume K&KA makes no promises, explicit or implied, regarding ads placed on its forum yadda yadda yadda .. The views expressed by posters are not necessarily the views of the forum owner(s) or administrator(s) yadda yadda yadda
* Yes, yes. I know. vaporware is reserved for software, but you get my point anyway. Right?

I think Jim will come through with this eventually, but it looks like it might be much later rather than sooner.TheRedPriest wrote:The last update from Jim, on this site, was January 23. Unfortunate, because the preview showed promise.

Maybe, but my point is, it's not good when you're taking people's money in a pre-order, you're several months overdue and you're not communicating. No DF posts either since mid-March. Even if there are significant time constraints, how long does it take to log into a forum and post a one or two sentence update once a month? Even if it's just, "Sorry for the delay, I'm still working on it."Mythmere wrote:I think Jim will come through with this eventually, but it looks like it might be much later rather than sooner.TheRedPriest wrote:The last update from Jim, on this site, was January 23. I pinged his e-mail yesterday, asking for an update. I'll let you know when I get a response.

I received what I can only describe as a sincere e-mail, wherein Jim apologized for the delay and mentioned the lessons learned about accepting pre-orders and announcing release dates just as a project begins.
He also assures that the final product will kick much ass. Let's hope so.
