hmmm...
It looks like there is a substantial difference in content between the LE and the SE; e.g., Rob's design notes and historical commentary. Is that true?
If so, are there any plans to make the additional LE content available in the future? I.e., a CD release?
I applaud the sentiment of limiting orders to 2/person.

As far as I know, the basic contents are the same. The differences will be in the overall presentation, the notes from the author, and commentaries from the author about certain areas (i.e. - so & so died here from xyz).
So, everyone should get the same basic information - same number of rooms, contents in the room, etc. Everything will be there to run as an adventure! Just without all the bells and whistles.

As far as I know the design notes and historical commentary will not be in the Standard Edition. I don't know whether they might be released at some later point in time, I suspect that would depend on the market for them.
Design notes and historical commentary aren't "basic" to the adventure.

This product isn't just an "adventure" product. Omitting this information from the affordable version is either a smack in the face of gamers that are fans but not collectors or a shrewd business decision. Depends on your point of view I guess.
I think collectors would fork over the $$ for the limited edition regardless. Why penalize the rest of the community?

There's no price listed for the Standard edition. I need the comparison of price to decide if the LE is worth it over the SE. If the difference is small enough, it' may be worth it for the LE.

That's my fault.
The Standard Edition is $20 plus S&H, you can check the updated page for details.

So, for twenty bucks, I get the full adventure, right? I do, however, miss out on the designer notes and historical data (who died where and how). Also, the standard won't look as "pretty" as the LE, correct?

Yes, for $20 you get the full adventure, but without the designer notes and historical commentary, plus the map won't be as nice. I think that's the long and short of it.
Plus you'll have to wait longer as it doesn't go on sale until after the LE is gone or the pre-order period for the LE is over, whichever comes first.

It's a shame that the version with the designer notes is that much more expensive - that's out of my price range and right in the "this is the credit card entry that led to my divorce" category.
It will be cool to see it just as an adventure, but I wish the collectors' edition had been differentiated with something other than the historical material. That would have added a lot to the adventure.

The $150 is out of my wallet's reach as well, but hey, for $20, I figure I can wind up with maybe a pretty cool adventure anyway.
Besides, I'm not a collector, I'm a gamer.

Count me for another purchase of the SE. I guess I'm not a big enough fanboy to shell out $150 for this.
