What? You don't like Gary Numan?

Hey, Gary Newman is credited with having the first new wave hit ever with "Cars". That's pretty old school . . .

I often play music from the early 80s when I'm writing. Songs such as:
"Don't Answer Me" by Alan Parsons Project
"Here Comes The Rain Again" by The Eurythmics
"Heat of The Moment" by Asia
"I Want You To Want Me" by Cheap Trick
"Back On The Chain Gang" by The Pretenders
"Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" and "Infatuation" by Rod Stewart
"The Tide Is High" by Blondie
"Dirty Laundry" by Don Henley
and of course
"Cars" by Gary Numan
remind me of my teen years when I was a gaming machine.
A gaming machine, I'm tellin' ya.
I also keep a screen saver with pics of Jenilee Harrison, Julia Duffy, Morgan Brittany, Rebecca DeMornay, and a few other choice babes from that time period.
It's all psychological...but it helps.

Gary Numan was a visionary way ahead of his time. Of course, like most musicians you don't want to see them up close.

Now he restores WWII aircraft, national geo did a special on his attempt to raise a B-24 from a frozen lake in Alaska, IIRC. A fuel line broke and the plane burned just before take off, no one was injured.

Great, now I'm going to have "In Cars" stuck in my head all night. Well to quote Gary "it's the only way to live". Now I guess I'll go study my nuclear science so my parents will let me go to the safety dance so I can see the 99 red baloons.... Oh sorry wrong decade

I loved Exile Extended. I think it was one of Numan’s best!

Well, eyeglasses could have helped with that.
