My next offer-

Hear my riddle I pray,
What God never sees,
What a king seldom sees,
What we see everyday.

Have fun!

PS I agree about the unanimous vote in a modern sort of way!

No one has picked up this gauntlet so I will throw another one out there-

A hill full, a hole full
Yet you can not catch a bowl full

Enjoy

I'm thinking, the answer is either sunshine, darkness, or air/oxygen.

No, no, the answer is hobbits. They live in holes under hills. But they eat all the food before you have a chance to get to it, so the bowls are always empty - hence, you can never catch a bowl full.

Why did we let this thread die? This one's not too hard:

Sparrows fly and eagles soar,
Yet my flight's unlike any bird before.
My feathers whistle and my feathers hum,
Yet of flapping feathers I have none.
Some birds peck and some birds claw,
Yet my beak pierces the heart while it’s raw.

An arrow.
It flies, but its fletching does not flap. It can certainly pierce a heart.
