OK, It is a Walnut!

Here is my second offer-

Thirty white horses upon a red hill, now they tramp, now they chomp, now they stand still.


Sidenote the source for my riddles is a collection of nursery rhymes and riddles assembled in the 1920's or earlier that was reprinted around 1940. Some of the terminology is a bit archaic.
