Is that Ardbeg on the left? Which one? Is it the one that tastes like salt water infused with dirt, or the one that tastes like dirt soaked in salt water?

Ha! It is Uigeadail Definitely not a low octane scotch, but the committee rather liked it.

Don't get me wrong. I like scotch, like Ardbeg, that puts hair on the chest.

I don't even drink scotch - I guess this is quality, then? Awesome! 8)

That is a most excellent bottle, Chainsaw. Your assistant thinks well of you AND has good taste. 8)

Speysides are a good choice if you're not particularly into scotch. The Balvenie is very good in general for any type of scotch, and that sherry cask should sweeten it up for you.

Your assistant would have gotten you an Islay if he thought you were a man. :P

Ha! I'm not easy to work for, so I'm surprised she got me anything at all.

Bowmore Islay has always been a favorite of mine. :)

Islays were well represented at my scotch tasting!

Myself, I am celebrating with a glass of Rebel Yell bourbon, my booty from the office White Elephant gift exchange. Quite good. I am pleased because my party failed spectacularly at gathering information ("you find a room with a desk and some partially burned papers" - party says, meh, then leaves without searching, thus missing the forgotten letter and eight partial scraps with useful data -- I almost had an aneurysm; later, "you see the specter speaking into a green glow with eight figures standing around him" - my brother: "ok, i fireball them" rather than "i listen for a moment to see what he is saying then fireball them"). This was followed by the spell-casting Specter casting Slow and sending his (surviving) wight minions into action. Every level lost was like nectar on my tongue. My brother was, shall we say, not pleased.
