Its about that time of year when I re-watch the entire run again! Fantastic show!
My wife bought me the movie a few Christmases ago, Bob. Still haven’t watched it. I’ve heard enough spoilers to know I’m good with the series as is. :)

A friend and his sister are big fans of Firefly. He won't watch the movie, and she won't watch the last episode (Objects In Space) because (to them) watching them means that is the end of the series.

Not me, I'm a completionist!

Objects in Space is so good. On so many levels though.
That is one episode I like to read the commentary on why Early interacts with each of them differently. It’s a good thinking episode with a sappy ending. It’s like it was made for me.

Just finished watching the last season of Ozark. Totally unexpected ending!

Just started watching the new season of The Expanse.

Ozark is an interesting series. I was not sure I would like it from the Netflix description but one of my coworkers recommended it so I tried it. Now I am waiting for the next/perhaps last season.

Watched "The Sword and the Sorcerer" tonight!---it was fun, and I didn't know that they finally made the sequel to this film, "Tales of an Ancient Empire" in 2010! (nearly 30 years later!): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1136688/
As expected, it was terrible. It might be worse than Beastmaster and Yor: Hunter from the Future!

Allan.

I remember it being pretty terrible back in the 80s when I first saw it on cable. But it had a lot of hot chicks in it so I watched it anyway because I was a teenager in love with this new thing they called cable TV.

Watched Ocean's 13 & the 2020 adaptation of Emma over the weekend.
O13 was slick and enjoyable - not Soderbergh's best heist film but a solid entry and close out to what became a trilogy.

Emma was really well done. An excellent adaptation of one of Austen's more challenging novels. Beautiful production design, attention to detail, nearly all the beats are spot on. The acting was solid or better; excellent casting & direction. More conversant cinephiles will be able to identify the art house films that I'm pretty sure supplied inspiration for the highly-stylized cinematography. Highly recommended.

I love the soundtracks in the Oceans films. I'm also a fan of all types of double-cross crazy capers type films like these and they deliver pretty well.

Are you familiar with the French film Micmacs?

It would be hilarious to make a plugin to give videos that old "scrambled" look for the retro enthusiasts.

The Creature from Black Lake. I caught a really cleaned up version of this on
Amazon Prime last year, but the bastards removed it. The copy I ordered seems really low quality (it was made in 76' I believe) that cleaned up version isn't for sale apparently. Don't attempt to watch this movie without two two hamburgers, two fries and a coke. Its a great very very low budget bigfoot movie, if you don't like it well...your just not an evolved soul. What can I say.

I saw the Blitzkriege episode of "WWII in Color" last night.

I was shocked to learned that the Nazi's achieved their greatest military victory of the war (defeating the French and taking Paris) in part because their soldiers could march through the night for 3 days straight without sleep because they were hopped up on methamphetamine (Pervitin)!

The other bits focus on how important morale was. The French morale broke when dive bombed by screaming planes, and the meth'd-up Nazi's felt unbeatable.

Its difficult to find good WWII specials these days that actually show "war" happening. The World at War (made in the 70s I believe, something like 22 hours long) is still the bench mark.

Has anyone watched this series on British comanados in WWII? Was thinking of watching it. https://www.channel4.com/programmes/com ... sode-guide
