BTW, went to a local FLGS (there are a lot of them here in WI I've noticed; winter seems good for the tabletop game industry) and saw the Car Wars box reissued on the shelf. $20.00, which is a hell of a deal. Expect that game to be flying off the shelf soon with the release of Fury Road. They also had a reprint of OGRE for, like, 3 bucks. Naturally I picked it up

This review right here goes a long way to alleviating my fear that a big budget can ruin a Mad Max movie. Indeed, the hype surrounding the flick may actually be justified. I really hope this sucka knocks my socks off.

Lightning rarely strikes twice, so going into Mad Max: Fury Road it’s hard not to dwell on the words of Max Rockatansky himself: “You know hope is a mistake. If you can’t fix what’s broken, you’ll go insane.” The thing is, Max is wrong. Fury Road is everything fans could have hoped for.

I'm looking forward to this movie, looks fun. I brought the Mad Max DVD out last night and will probably pull the Road Warrior DVD out tonight. Thunderdome? Eh, might pass on that one.

Hot damn! We played the hell out of that game.

I have had my Mad Max virginity taken. Watched #1 and #2 last night, and look forward to the new one. Due to the general gripes pertaining to Thunderdome I have opted to skip that one.

Honestly, the dubbing of Mel's voice on Mad Max is atrocious. I'd rather watch Thunderdome again.....

Yeah I couldn't stand the audio in Mad Max (1979). It was so hard to discern.

Just got out of the theater. Really good spectacle. I'd pay another $13 to see it again.

It's a little overly-fast paced on some of the action shots, but does a *hugely* better job than Thunderdome in using a big budget for a mad max film. (I realize that's not saying much, but I mean it in a really positive way.)

I will forgive some of the obvious CG and some of the typical Hollywood structure. (unclear whether I'll feel the same after a second viewing. But hey, I can forgive the 80's white costumes in Road Warrior, so...)

I like how they left it intact. <- you'll know what I mean when you see it.
