Has Reaper opened their pledge manager yet? Can't find it if they have.

I don't think they've sent an announcement yet.

I signed up for the "please let me know when you do this again" thinking to jump in to the $100 buy-in but honestly I think I have enough miniatures now.

No announcement yet. They have been having trouble with the sheer volume of pledges in terms of retrieving the data, so I understand.

I'm guessing they're not going to make the September target for the initial distribution then :(

Message from Reaper today: "... we are working on the pledge manager. It is still pending but will be coming soon!"

It seems unlikely. That was just for the "Sophie" miniatures, right?

They had already said something about it being a phased distribution for some of the sets.

Yeah, only Sophie ships in Sept., and everything else is slated for March.

I am strongly reconsidering this.

Now, I love Reaper minis, they're a good company and their products are generally top-notch, but speaking for myself, I think I've got "enough". A friend lend-leased me his entire DDM collection. I'm too pressed for time to paint more than party characters, and I already have a ton of unpainted metal to begin with. I've got 30 L.E. orcs, 20 or so kobolds and same count for goblins, and about 50 or so DDM gnolls (without going in to the others).

On the metal side ( \m/ ) I've got 50 or more kobolds and 40 goblins - on top of the L.E.s I have. God only knows when I can ever get to paint them. (Actually I'm strongly considering employing army painting techniques...)

What I really want/need is a small collection of henchmen. I've got a couple of bearers, but I'd prefer a linkboy or two.

I've already got plenty of dragons, undead, vermin, wizards, monsters, etc. etc.

I'm just starting to wonder if $100 wouldn't be better spent on paints for the miniatures I do have.

With all respect to Reaper!

Hm. Those look OK, but truth be told Otherworld Minis are straight outa AD&D. :) If I buy any more, it'll be from them.

Those are good looking tho!

I totally sympathise. I mainly got in on this because I have no miniatures collection here in Japan, so it is a great opportunity to start one on the cheap. Not that I have that much back in Britain, mainly War Hammer armies, but certainly hundreds enough.

Apparently the pledge website is up, though I have not received a mail about it yet myself.

Yeah...the more I think about this the more I think, unfortunately, I'm going to have to pass. I'll army paint the Kobolds and Goblins I already have and be done with it.

Once that Storm Giantess goes on sale though I'll buy one of her - no tellin' when I'll want to run G1/G2/G3 again. :)

Whoops! Apparently the website is not up yet, but will be within a few days.

I saw some of the Bones figures in Shinjuku recently, looking forward to March very much now! You are probably making the right choice, Bill, exchange rates and foreign pricing are what makes this too good for me to pass up!
