I stumbled on this today. It's me and Chainsaw dozing off during Cromlech Tor a couple years back!

Sorry Philotomy.. you weren't supposed know about that!

Seriously, though, thanks for digging that up, Jimm. Seems like a long time ago, but really wasn't. This year should be even better.

Hey--

I know a lot of y'all will be signing up for the scheduled sessions on Thurs. night, but if anyone else wants to run a dungeon session at the social, Angry Wizard and I would love to throw you into the rotation.

Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, Chainsaw, Philotomy.

I want to fight me some Space Mummies!

Hmm.. let me see if I can work something up that might be fun and I'll take a rotation. I've never run anything at a convention before, so I'm a little nervous, but hell, this might be the perfect way to pop my cherry. Fuck it, count me in. :)

Awesome! Can we bring our OD&D characters into your WDR dungeon?

Hey, sure man - I'll draft up some new areas and run it as S&W White Box or even just use your Planet Eris rules.

How would you do transitions between rotations, Jimm? Either switch after a TPK, have the guys find a dimensional gate to a new dungeon whenever the DM gets tired, or just restart with new guys periodically?

At our all-night New Year's sessions, 3-4 hrs per DM seems to work out about right. We do use a "dimesional gate" sort of concept. There are guardians of the gates that allow the "sending" DM to restrict characters/items taken out of his campaign, while the guardians on the "receiving" DM's end can restrict what is brought into the his dungeon/campaign. Rarely do we actually restrict anything though, we pretty much let anything pass. (Although... the Angry Wizard barred my character's goblin slaves from entering his realm once. That was a bummer. Those goblin slaves can be handy!)

Sounds good!

We'll have to bust capitalbill's chops on rotating into service. He's a great DM. Between now and then, we'll layer on the peer pressure and get him to stand at the ready as well.
