I'm cleanly shaven - when I don't shave, my facial hair comes in very spotty and scraggly - and I'm now shaving most of the dome, too.
Yeah, I've got the postholocaust ground-zero "beard" too. God forgot to re-wet the cotton swab with testosterone when he was painting that part of me. Everything else is hairy - my hair grows like bamboo. Just...no beard or mustache, just a nasty facsimile thereof.

Lately, I like being clean-shaven, but with a malfunctioning bathroom sink, and repairs not coming too quickly, I've been sporting the scruffy-bum look. I usually find another bathroom in the building & plug up the drain with my thick, wiry stubble once a week, however.

I've sported the mustache/goatee before in the past, and for a few years just a soul-patch. That one was a honey-gitter. Too much gray now, so clean-shaven I will be - for a couple of days a week anyway. :?

I've had a full beard for the past 8 months or so. I occasionally get annoyed by it and consider shaving it off, but am held back by that fact that I think I look better with it, and knowing that if I did shave it and then changed my mind it would take the better part of a month to grow back into anything decent-looking.

Okay, I have to ask... What is a "soul-patch"?

Do we have an answer on the chainsaw thing? Wow, I feel old.

Goatee/mustache for me, head shaved down to stubble (since about 1995). I tried the full beard thing earlier this winter after moving to New York State, but I smoke and the tobacco stench from my own facial hair drove me nuts.

EDIT: And BTW, I'm not fat, I'm big-boned :) (actually, I'm not even that, just slightly overweight).

Handlebar moustache. Onlookers swear that I am Wyatt Earp. :)

I used to have a full-on ZZ Top beard, but I got rid of that years ago, since people assumed that I was either the Unabomber or a member of a terrorist org.
I'm secretly hoping that mutton chops come back in style.

I have this. But it isn't working... I think it may be a cursed item posing as a Beard of Wisdom +2.

I've had a goatee and mustache or full beard with mustache consistently since I was 14 (9 years now.) Once I accidentally trimmed to aggressively and had to shave it all... coldest November ever. Thankfully I had the full beard back within a few days ;)

Clean shaven. 12 years in the Army, and been out for 12. Can't shake it.

Howie Mandel.... Last 'celebrity' I would have picked to show off a soul patch. Roseanne Barr would have been a better choice IMO, but hey! Whatever works.

For the record, my soul patch wasn't square, it was diamond shaped. Much more 8) .

Thanks. And I'd rather not :) (Mandel). I don't think my facial hair pattern could support one, or maybe I'd try it. I have the classic goatee pattern, with only a thinner V/Y of hair under the bottom lip.

Usually full beard, although it varies between grizzly adams, chinstrap, and just goatee depending on time of year, how I've been feeling, and whether I've had to clean up recently.
Still searching for that walking treasure chest...

In terms of facial hair I usually look like I just ambled into town from up some mountain to replenish the whiskey and track down the dope man. I occasionally try to give it some shape or trim it close, but now that I work in an office so casual that it has a disco ball and dance music playing over the speakers, I'm inclined to let it go until owls nest in the damn thing.
