How do you handle PC elves invisibility equiv in woods?

No question. The pregens in the Giants and Drow modules are superbly named. They set a standard no one has ever managed to come close to surpassing.

(I've always been fond of Cloyer Bulse the Magsman for some reason)

My interpretation would be that all elves have the increased surprise ability when wearing light (non-metal) armour (and not in the company of lesser endowed beings), but an elvish cloak and boots would allow them to ignore the restriction on armour.
