Currently slogging through I am Providence, the doorstop-sized two volume biography of H. P. Lovecraft by S. T. Joshi, at the rate of about 20 pages/night. It's actually not half bad. I've reached page 200 of vol. 1, and age 24, so there is an excruciating level of detail, which of course might not be for everyone.

I'm about 1/2 way through Servants of the Wankh, the 2nd of Vance's Planet of Adventure stories.

Ah, love those. I envy you, if you're reading them for the first time. I'm working my way through the entirety of Vance's SF (and have a few of his mysteries on my reading list as well), and the Tschai novels are some of my favorites.

Yes, just finished The Dirdir last night, but I now have to track down a copy of the 4th book, since it's not in any of my used bookstores in Wichita or San Jose (Amazon, here I come :D ).

The Children of Odin, Padraic Colum. A children's book of Norse myths. Enjoying it thoroughly. (It's no wonder dwarves should be allowed unlimited advancement as thieves, the fact that everyone gets U for thieves notwithstanding.)

The DUNGEON MASTERS GUIDE City of Brass cover is good and bad at the same time. That should not be taken as anything negative about Warriors of the Steppe; Harold Lamb is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I'm pulling characters from Saint Martin's Summer for my Flashing Blades game.

Use of Weapons, by Iain Banks. I've pretty much dropped fantasy off the list the last couple of years and focused on sci-fi.
