Brave Halfling Publishing Needs Your Help

Post by Coleston the Cavalier »

Hey guys!

Brave Halfling Publishing is gearing up to start releasing a line of OSRIC Adventures.

I need your help in coming up with a cool name for the line. Free pdfs for the person(s) who create a great old school name!

Also, if you have something using OSRIC of your own creation that you are dying to see published, toss me an email at adamsjohn96@yahoo.com.

Sounds cool. Hmmn. Current brands for 'old school' products:

Advanced Adventures (Expeditious Retreat Press)
Advanced Master Adventures (0one Games)
First Edition Fantasy (Ronin Arts)
Wyrms & Warlocks (Goblinoid Games)
Realms of Arkonus (Magique Productions)

[No Brand] (Lamentations of the Flame Princess)
Dungeon Crawl Classics (Goodman Games)
Wilderness of High Adventure (Adventure Games Publishing)
[No Brand] (Pied Piper Publishing)

I think that about covers it... my two cents; do you really need a brand for your OSRIC line? Hmmn. Anyway, how about:

Osricus Adventures
Advanced Fantasy Adventures
Advanced Labyrinth Adventures
Advanced Worlds of Adventure

Of those, I would definitely choose Advanced Labyrinth Adventures, since it complements your Classic Labyrinth Adventures line. Brand recognition, for sure! :D

From Wikipedia *spit!*:
A school (in the sense of old school) is a grouping of people who share common characteristics of opinion or outlooks of philosophy, craft, or belief. It is in this sense that people refer to schools of thought, or schools of belief or practice, as in a school of painters.
How about:

Common Ground
First Base
Dungeon Digs
Pig's Eye ( 8) )

(That last one would be kewl 'cause then you could say, "I saw it in a Pig's Eye product." And when someone says, "OSRIC never makes any good products," you could retort, "Yeah, in a Pig's Eye!" :snicker: )

The Advanced Labyrith Adventures seems the obvious. If you're looking for something a little different how about...

"Brave Halfling Publishing is proud to announce our Kill Them and Take Their Stuff line of old-school goodness."

How about “Advanced Adventure Scenarios”?

Is that you in that avatar picture Blackbat?? Because if it is...we are BOTH senior citizens trying to escape from the nursing home. But, long after Alzheimer's has stripped away all vestiges of our memories - let's hope we're still here bullsh*tting about D&D.

Since OSRIC is trying to bring back the golden age of old school adventure gaming, why not Golden Age Adventures?

But those initials are GTA! We'd get video gamers trying to run us over!

Im not a video gamer. I pulled that name out of my ass. I love AD&D.
And I have played GTA at my brothers house and I think it is for people that cant use there imagination.
My brother lets his 8 year old son play it.
Video games are dumbing down the nation.
