Re: 18-Day Module challenge
Day 6: The Illhiedrin Book has been a good one for kids I’ve seen. Nice kinda linear mix of town, dungeon and wizards tower all as part of a quest. With fun additions like recurring bad guys - a thief who tries to rob you and an anti-Paladin type who harasses the party as well, speak with dead opportunity, interesting wizards tower. Pretty fun.

Day 6: The Haunted Tower by Chris Gonnerman and other contributing authors (including P&P).
This one is tailor made for kids, with a candy cane golem, an easy riddle, and monsters that you can actually interact with (i.e. it encourages interaction). I think it's a perfect intro to the game for kids.

Re: 18-Day Module challenge
Day 7: I wish I had written Demonspore. It taps into the weirdness and wonder of the D series without being a repetition. It is well written, and full of good encounters that run the gamut from combat to puzzles and interaction. Since it is actually two modules, it'd make a trilogy together with Pod-Caverns of the Sinister Shroom. It is sufficiently low-level to put it within reach of a regular D&D group.
"D&D is the ultimate right wing wet dream. A bunch of guys who are better than your average joe set out into the middle of nowhere where they murder and kill everything they come across in order to stockpile gold and elaborate magical bling. There are no taxes, no state and any poor people that get in your way get their village burned to the ground. It's like Ayn Rand on PCP." - Mr. Analytical
