I wish I could draw maps like this

Post by Stonegiant »

I really wish I had the skill and the attention span to be able to draw maps like this. Especially the mountains and elevations. I just can't seem to work out the angled view of the mountains.

I want to hear what you did in the dungeon, not the voting booth. Politics and rules minutia both bore me in my opinion.

Really cool! I'm sure you could do it with some practice.

First of all, learn to use thumbnails, man. Seriously.
Secondly, yes, it's nicely done.

There's no way that water is freehand.
The DUNGEON MASTERS GUIDE City of Brass cover is good and bad at the same time. While its very representational of a high level adventure, it sends a clear message to the dumb: Satan is going to cornhole Miss USA with a big red member and theres nothing science or the military can do about it. - Gene Weigel

Probably a combination of hand drawn and zipatone. I recognize the half tone and the water pattern. I still have a old graphic design catalog from college (circa 1985) that I will scan to show you what I mean.

The shaded relief is handdrawn and impressive.

My dream technique is to reliably draw hachture for relief.
