Intellect Devourer picture.

I'm looking for an ID image, one that is closer to the description even than Dave Trampier's illustration in the MM. In fact, it may actually BE by Trampier. It was more akin to the "sooty black ball with lion's feet" than the "brain on four legs" (and definitely way closer to that description than any modern renditions of it).

Anyone know the image of which I speak?

Did one like this even exist (meaning do you remember ever seeing one before)? They came out in Eldritch Wizardry, but there isn't a drawing of them in that book. Since the MM came out, it has always been the brain with legs.

It was an actual drawing, IIRC.

I'm going to dig through my modules and so forth and see if I can find it.
