I managed to shoot over to the Cape and get as close as possible to the launch. Seriously one of the coolest things I've seen in my life (one of the benefits living 45 minutes away). A vey powerful rocket, could really hear and feel the sonic boom, just massive. When you see the Tesla with the Bowie music and space suite....man! Seeing the two rockets land (even from the distance I was at) was just incredible. Experiencing a launch like this first hand is just too cool.

Very cool that you were there, Axe. I saw it on CNBC this afternoon and was blown away by the power and speed. I love to see this kind of energy controlled by man!

My daughters and I watched from our front yard, perhaps some 40-50 miles distant; it was still quite spectacular at that range.

I hear they botched their window and the Tesla is going into the sun.
Kinda even more awesome.

It's going to bypass Mars wind up in the asteroid belt or beyond. Apparently, it's actually difficult to crash into the sun from our orbit.
