The Great Pyramid

Post by Falconer »

What have you done with the Great Pyramid of Giza? What can be done with it? Every time it pops up in the news — https://www.rt.com/news/415823-giza-pyr ... te-throne/ — it reminds me of its potential. Let me know your ideas, or what published resources are out there. I know about Masks of Nyarlathotep, but is its take definitive?

I always intended to start with this as inspiration:

I've never done anything with the Great Pyramid itself, but its big brother plays a prominent role in my homage to REH's Beyond the Black River adventure. It's a rather pristine version in all it's bright, white limestone glory. Legend has it the capstone is solid gold, but there's only one way the PCs can find out if that's true. The Great Pyramid served as inspiration, but it's interior is far too simple for what I needed.

Rob, how does the pyramid support all that weight if the interior has so many vacant spaces?

I'm more of a Newgrange or Stonehenge kinda guy myself.

YMMV (Your Monuments May Vary). ;)
