Yep. We just saved them an excruciating 4 more weeks of failure.TRP wrote:Are you suggesting the Alehouse is due a consulting fee?RandomEncounter wrote:I guarantee 99% of the feedback they used to make this decision to reboot is from K&KA.
How long until someone asks why the goal was 250k to begin with and the revision is the same exact crap and 97.5k?
Re: Frank Mentzer's Empyrea Fantasy Setting on KS
They should be typing it up right now, before they even start the re-boot. That would show just a smidge of good faith for potential backers. Hell, at least blow smoke up their asses to coax that checkbook out of the pockets!RandomEncounter wrote:Yep. Hey look, they are using my idea!RandomEncounter wrote:All the npc Noble tiers make me think of is a sloppy method of generating missing setting content via backer submissions.
LolWhat is the Empyreal Census?
All of the character descriptions are collected into the Empyreal Census for use by designers of future Loxley products. When we need characters for a town or adventure, we'll use your creations!

Meh. I still wouldn't see much use for this setting as described thus far. Granted, there is still much we don't know but some of Frank's ideas are not what I'm looking for in a D&D campaign worldDungeonDork wrote:Yet we still won't see it for 1e/osric.

Sounds like Frank and his team have made some very reasonable changes. Good luck to them!
Furthermore, after this announcement, I think we can all agree any good discussion of the viability of the initial KS effort has run its course.

Agreed; time to move on. I appreciate all the insight and hilarity this thread has generated, but, let’s not beat a dead horse.
NOTE: Decided to move the thread back to General for various reasons.
