Yeah. Well that sure changes the tone of the debate. Now it appears like Frank was trying to play the colossal Internet Tough Guy card and it blew up in his very clearly oversized piehole. F*ck that guy. He just lost whatever remaining respect he deserved and earned a spot along with the likes of other notorious ego-lunatics in gaming. I'd like to see some of his industry friends he's signed up for his Kickstart try to defend that behavior.
As it turns out, the man who threatened to 'burn you in effigy' may have just got hung from his own (batshit-crazy) petard. Can't say I'm feeling too sympathetic.
What the hell! That's almost as livid as the infamous navy seal rant. What was he thinking when he wrote that?

Y'know....That private message read just like it was from kewlmarine, when he got the boot from DF several years ago.
He still makes threats, although they are really toned down so he doesn't keep getting booted (see Tenkar's Tavern Mentzer Boot thread) Ahaaaaa!

If you're not drunkpostingsealpasta, you're not doing it right.

Holy shit! And I assumed that Frank got the boot because he was threatening slandering DF in his upcoming product (campaign setting?). This all makes a little more sense now. Wow.

The threat of slander would have been enough reason IMHO.
I don’t usually post on this sort of thing. But the author of that message to EOTB truly deserves the strongest condemnation for that. It's hard to believe a message like that gets drafted, let alone sent.
Keep in mind this comes from the same person who (just a few days after the date of that pm) is lecturing others on discourse at the Tenkars Tavern:
I say again, ignore (or scorn) those who are intolerant and trolling us with their sacramental sentiments about “One True Game” and Why Your Game Sucks. (You have opinions, great. So stop dissing others when they express theirs. Learn tact.

Yeah, same here.
I've actually never met the guy at a con or spoken with him on any forum, after seeing that, I just feel really bad for the guy, not because he got banned, but because for him to to have gotten so bent out of shape and taken things to that level, means he really lost his shit, like, Crazy German Kid, lost it.
Accusations of Trolling levied against EOTB are not totally unfounded, I think.
However nothing, nothing, can be used as an excuse to legittimize that PM.
I woke up thinking, nah, that PM wasn't as bad as it sounded, but upon re-reading it.....Wow. It's really sad.
I mean, if you feel like you are being trolled*, you don't engage them. You ignore them. The ignore function on DF does work, I use it.
*: Not saying that EOTB was trolling him. Though the definition of trolling has radically changed over the last 10 years. Now, I see people calling others Trolls for disagreeing with each other, or for simply being rude. That's not what trolling was when the term was coined.
