Gary Con X (2018)

Re: Gary Con X (2018)
Most everything I'd want to play in was already taken by the 1st and 2nd estate badge holders, but I did get a ticket to TacoJon's Arden Vul game, and Rich's Friday night game.
I'll be ready to run or play off-grid.

Hey hey Peepy Von Peeptones!
Flying again from Chinaland this year to my old stomping grounds of the snow covered (I hope) lands of my birth....Sconsin!
Will anyone be around a day early to throw some dice and cause mischief?
Inquiring Axioms want to know!

No snow on the ground in SE Wisconsin atm, and it is actually quite warm. Supposedly a little snow will be coming, but I think that it will melt off. Look forward to seeing you when you get here!

Re: Gary Con X (2018)
It rained in Janesville for 2 days straight, so the snow is pretty much gone except for the dirty lumps of snow that was piled during the year's plowing. My yard is all grass now and the temperature is in the 50's.Wheggi wrote:No snow on the ground in SE Wisconsin atm, and it is actually quite warm. This badge system gives me the shits and it was pretty much the reason I stopped trying to go to Gary Con. I didn't have to pay extra to have my first pick of the games before. I bought my tickets and waited for the moment registration opened and picked my stuff like any other regular gamer. I am not faulting the con for finding a way to take advantage of the situation and making more coin. I am all for capitalism. It just wasn't in my heart anymore to give that much money and forethought to things. I bought tickets one year, picked my games, and ended up with an illness that I missed the con entirely. That also attributed to me not wanting to plan that far ahead anymore.EOTB wrote:Most everything I'd want to play in was already taken by the 1st and 2nd estate badge holders, but I did get a ticket to TacoJon's Arden Vul game, and Rich's Friday night game.

Eh... I spoke too soon! Part of my job is supporting transactions that I don’t get much notice of, and a few of those arose over the past few days and created a conflict for this week. So, sorry for the head fake earlier and for people who had been expecting an off-grid game, but I can’t make it. Again, apologies. Have fun and post some good pics!Chainsaw wrote:Good news! I know, man. Fucking work! Trust me, I would rather be drinking beer and throwing dice.

Hopefully the rest of your schedule later in the year stays stable. (And work covers all of your last-minute cancellation fees!).
Allan.

Does that mean you can use this as leverage to take time off during NTRPG? One cannot miss all the old-school cons in a year!Chainsaw wrote:Eh... I spoke too soon!
