Nice! And my buddy Manny is in your Sat. Buried game, which sounds great. Regardless, looks like we'll be in a couple games together.

Cool! Ancalagon and Guy are both in that game so it should be a good group. I'll make sure he dies quickly and in a painfully embarrassing manner, you know, so he'll have something interesting to talk about later.Handy Haversack wrote:Nice! And my buddy Manny is in your Sat. It's actually your Friday game, which is too bad. But I think the same policy applies!Cloak n' Dagger wrote:Cool! Ancalagon and Guy are both in that game so it should be a good group. I may have overdone it on pregens. I like to have one for every AS&SH class so as to advertise what the game can do a little bit. But updating them to a higher level and finding a fun magic item for each takes a while! And so does finding portraits for the char. sheets.

Re: Gary Con IX (2017)
I just registered for Gary Con last weekend, but still found a lot of great games to sign up for.
My schedule so far:
Fri (arrive in the morning)
12-4 Acrid Herald (spy-type RPG) scenario with Merle Rasmussen (Top Secret)
4-8 "The Last Great Adventure - in 3D" AD&D adventure with Harold Johnson (C1 Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan)
9-12 Gen Con 50 celebration at Horticultural Hall, original home of Gen Con
Sat
8-12 Orc's Drift CHAINMAIL game - recommended by Welleran here
2-4 Dungeon! boardgame with the designer David Megarry
Sun
10-12 Dragon Lairds with Tom Wham
12-4 Braunstein IV: Banania with David Wesely
Still have a few slots left on Saturday; I may sign up for some of the Keep on the Borderlands 5E.
Last night my local group play-tested a Gamma World 1E scenario that my friend Scott will be running at the con on Sunday.
There is still one slot left if anyone is interested: https://tabletop.events/conventions/gar ... chedule/24

Re: Gary Con IX (2017)
Only a few days away! Can't wait!
To those of you in any of my Foolsgrave games, we'll be rolling "experienced" Level 1 PCs (and any replacements) at the table, using the guidelines below. If you want to roll your PC(s) ahead of time, please feel free.
- 4d6 arranged to taste
- Max HP at level one
- 4d6x20 gold for equipment
- 800+d6x100 starting XP
- Potion of Healing
Spellcasters, in their spellbooks, automatically receive Detect Magic, roll randomly for two more Level 1 spells and then pick two more Level 1 spells. Your spellbook should then have a total of five spells. Per the rules, you can memorize one per day (maybe two if your intelligence is high enough). Also, you will start with three scrolls: two for spells selected from your Level 1 spellbook and one for a spell selected from the Level 2 spell list. This means every spellcaster starts with a minimum of four castable spells (probably five).

While it looks like I'm not attending GaryCon this year, I do intend to poke my head in and say hi. Wish I could hang out and game, but such is life

I can almost definitely squeeze you into my Thursday night game, assuming that a midnight-ish stop time isn't too late for work on Friday?Wheggi wrote:Awesome! I'm available Wednesday and Thursday, day and night!![]()

On Wednesday we've talked about playing some boardgames, etc. after finishing booth setup. Nothing definite scheduled yet.
