But yeah, I tried to get the party to go one way and they decided to go another. Well, if they didn't want to be my living minions then they were going to be my undead minions. Seemed like a good choice at the time.
Come on now, you do the crime, you do the time! Haha! You should know I am a rat bastard - in the social, my character happily wore the Number of the Beast on his forehead and regularly lied about having spells that could have helped people in need!

Probably fitting that when he drank that Potion of Growth he launched himself into EOTB's razor wire overhead and took 33 points of damage vs his 32 hit points. Amazing how the whole room cheered! Usually that doesn't happen when a PC dies...
As for you, eightbits, I'm really disappointed, actually, that your plan never unfolded. I think maybe you saw your group rise to the challenge and had mercy on them? You want to be evil, but I think you must have a good heart.
eightbits wrote:This was a hell of an excellent con! I've only been to Gen Con before, but this was by far my best game con experience. Even though I didn't get to travel with my normal gaming group, I met some pretty good people and had a hell of a good time. I played in games run by EOTB, tacojohn, Chainsaw, and Steve and they were fantastic! I'm still trying to learn people's names and associate them with handles, so please forgive me if I got that list wrong.
I agree, great NTRPG Con! I had a fun mix of games and people and everything really came togther. Steve's
Dungeon of Dracula game kicked it off with a nice dungeon crawl that culminated in killing Dracula (again). Who doesn't enjoy killing Dracula? The K&KA Social's annual hilarity followed that one, where EOTB and tacojohn did a fantastic job managing more than a dozen players at the table (and as many as 17 at one point). austinjimm's 96 bottles of homebrew beer helped as well! My
Strange Tale of Crystal Point games Friday and Saturday went really well, with both groups securing a pretty solid treasure that easily placed them both in the top three of the six parties that have braved Crystal Point's shores (so far). The only disappointing part is that I only disintegrated one person (austinjimm!). We got him back in action with a different, but brain-damaged character, so it was all good. Last, tacojohn brought the pain with
Necropolis, an adventure that I have been wanting to play for years (and really want to play completely now), and Welleran slaughtered most of us in his
Desert Shrine of the Sightless Sisters. I think a few people might have survived, actually, but my 10 point magic-user took a 28 point lightning bolt to the face, so he wasn't one of them. Pity, really. I was so pumped to roll a natural 18 for damage once and I was so sure that was a sign that my magic-user (Crasslin) had a bright future. I regret missing grodog's and austinjimm's games, but there's only so much time. Next year! Anyway, super fun overall and great catching up with everyone.

I try to snap a few here and there, it's been said.
