Of course, the more the merrier! I'm sure I can come up with a wrinkle or two to keep you on your toes...

In theory, I'm booking up most pre-10 times, but we'll see what happens when the thing actually goes live. I figure the system encourages over-booking now and then seeing what you want to actually do once you know the parameters.

But I should have a couple of things I can run--one thing to run if enough characters die in another game, too! And I'll be with several people from my F2F group who are coming. Should be great.

Good to be seen! Looking forward to catching up and gaming with you all. I'm bringing a crew from NYC this year, so it should be a blast. Once we dig out from the shit show on Sat., I'll see what my open times look like. I'm also sticking around through Sunday, running Into the Odd on-grid in the early afternoon but ready to game all night!

I don't think I posted this here.

I made a web app that has a better filter/search than the garycon site:

http://gizmomathboy.com/

username: gary
password: gygax

Did some more messing around with my web app. I've added some images of the floor plans of events based on my best guesses from the entry in the Venue of the event details.

This all can be horribly wrong so don't rely totally on my guesswork and whimsy. There is nothing official about my app so any problems you have that fuck up your event reg are your fault for not checking official data sources.

John, in the server's defense, it's not so much a server per se as a 1987 Casio digital watch, which I think we can all agree is pretty keen!

I've already prepared myself for the high probability of not getting the two games on my list, even though they're not VIP games (Prata's and ligedog's). To be honest, there's something very liberating about having a bunch of open time. No stress! Relaxing.

Less than a half hour before the mad dash. Good luck to you all, but stay the hell out of my way.

No idea whether the system will favor small carts or big carts. Is it going to disallow checkouts if your cart contains an event that's already sold out? We shall see...

I can't stop brainstorming on better registration methods.

Oh wow — looks like they pushed back registration to 3 pm EST. The message at the top of the event pages says:
"Note that Pre-Registration will open Saturday, January 30th, at 3pm EST."

Well they figured out another way to make the system go tits up. I feel like it wasn't exactly a security breach.

Absolute BS, I got my events registered, my family and I are supposed to be going out of town this afternoon, I specifically made plans to leave after the registration was over. If they scrub my cart and reset everything for 3pm there's no way I can register for my events. They already pushed the date back from the original date, it's amazing that they think everyone just has the time to sit around and structure the entire day around their schedule.

Not sure why they didn't switch to a lottery-based registration system :/

That would have solved most of the server load and I'm-taking-time-out-of-my-day-to-register-and-you-keep-changing-the-time problems.

Yeah, sorry guys. I guess I participated in the "malicious hacking" when I simply clicked the button that they had sitting on the page.
