I have my wilderness adventure scheduled for this day.

And I will just have come back in town from a long retreat.

But I will see what I can do!

I will most likely be there on the 22nd. I'm a bit bummed we don't have a July meet-up, but Tetramorph will make it up to me with his local wilderness crawl. It should be noted I won't be able to make it to the scheduled Tetramorph Wilderness game on the 22nd, and neither will John.

I'm trying not to read the forums at the moment because free time = CPA study time, so if the date changes I'm counting on Jimm giving me a call to carpool the week before.

Alright...let's take a head-count for August 22nd.

I'm seeing 6 who can make that date from the above posts:
DungeonDork (1) -- the DM
Philotomy (1)
Me and my son (2)
Piper (1)
AustinJimm (1)

Is that correct? Am I missing anyone?

If I read his above post correctly, it appears that Counting Wizard will be there.

I'll also check with ANGRYWIZARD. He may want to come too.

EDIT: ANGRYWIZARD wants to come, but won't know for sure until a week or 2 before.

EDIT 2: @Piper - Are you in the Austin area? Me, CountingWizard, and a couple other guys have been carpooling.

Okay...I misread CountingWizard's post thinking that "CPA study time" was eating his life that whole weekend.

So CountingWizard, John, and (possibly) AngryWizard yields 3 more. Cool.

I, unfortunately, am not going to be able to make it. Turns out we'll be out of state that weekend.

If I cancel or reschedule my wilderness adventure I can finally make it!

Counting wizard can't make it to my wilderness adventure b/c of this and as he is almost a co ref w me it makes sense to me to cancel or reschedule my thing.

Is TexMex Con kid friendly? I've got a 9 yr old boy who knows how to play. Could I bring him along? Are we PG? PG13?

Below was my take on this in reply to Flambeaux.

Flambeaux wrote:Cool. I'll plan to roll up at the table.
Are we doing "adults only"? Sounds like we've got a good-sized group but I know my oldest, who is 11, will ask to come. I have no problem telling him no if he's still too young.
It's fine with me, if you want to bring him, Chris.
But just so you know, my game sometimes strays into PG-13 territory.
There is an opium den and a brothel in the Odd Oasis.
There are also references to demons and other assorted diabolical whatnot to be found in the various encounters.
Dungeon Dork is the current DM, so he may want to speak to this as well.

Definitely PG-13 and I cuss like a sailor.
We are also hopefully going to cover a lot of ground in that time and I don't want to try anyone's patience.
If he has good game etiquette, I don't mind, that's up to you.

The DUNGEON MASTERS GUIDE City of Brass cover is good and bad at the same time. While its very representational of a high level adventure, it sends a clear message to the dumb: Satan is going to cornhole Miss USA with a big red member and theres nothing science or the military can do about it. - Gene Weigel
