Party is in the dungeon section of A2; they tracked Markessa down in her chambers after battling her in the lab. She used her Dust of Invisibility, then fired her wand of magic missiles to make good her escape.

The module says the dust's effect isn't broken by her use of the wand!

That...could get really abusive really fast.

That's consistent with the description of Dust of Disappearance on DMG p. 143. It's a special property of that item (balanced by its rarity, and the limited duration of 2-20 turns) and definitely shouldn't be taken as an indication that someone invisible "normally" (i.e. via ring, spell, or potion) can use a wand offensively without breaking the spell.

Dust of Disappearance is one of our favorite high-level magical items for our PCs---when we can purchase or trade for some, we always do. Great stuff!

I've always been a bit confused about invisibility, in that you can be attacked (its not impossible once someone is aware your in the area). I suppose the idea is that its not supposed to be too powerful.

When Bilbo was wearing the One Ring, and was thus "invisible", he still cast a very thin, wavering, almost unnoticeable shadow in bright sunlight.

it wouldn't be too hard, once someone noticed the shadow, to swing for just above the feet of the shadow.

Similarly, to swing for just above where a line of footprints are appearing in dust, or where something is making the tapestry ripple.

Etc.
