Burning oil damage

Post by rredmond »

Why can't I find this in the books.

I know that oil can be hurled and lit with a torch. Then there's initial damage, and continued damage, but I can't find the rule anywhere.

Please help kind sirs!

DMG page 64; 2d6, then d6 the next round or d3 on a splash

Which is quite a bit. One might want to use classic/B/X figures of d8 instead

Best mothef*cking weapon in a low-level party's arsenal, if you ask me, though the actual use should not be careless, lest you kill yourself as well, cut off your own escape routes, and so on, so forth. It's the starting levels' "Holy Hand Grenade", so to speak.

Also, one of the reasons MUs don't necessarily have to suck and hide.

And even more impressive when a couple dozen are loaded onto an Improvised Explosive Donkey. Just ask Mythmere what that did to Mythrus Tower one year.
