Thanks Rob! Turns out my instructor has a hard-on for air shows, so I picked the right topic. I already gave him a disclaimer that if some of the stuff on the board doesn't jive historically (such as if plane images don't match squadrons) to let it slide: I would have got it right had I been allowed the resources lol

That's a great looking board, Wheggi. I'm looking forward to seeing what rules you come up with!

Wheg..if you're interested in doing similar stuff for your portfolio, check out some of the fan-made redux on boardgamegeek. A few, like Melee, Ogre and Merchant of Venus are far superior graphically to the originals.

Looks awesome Tony! I don't know if anyone could walk by this and not take a double take. It really captures the viewers attention. What program are you using on this? Are you going to design the box layout as well then?

I 2nd Axe's motion - do a box cover. And some card art?? For rules inspiration - run, not walk, to the Warpspawn Games site.

By the way, "Bombs Away" is a great title for this game.

Okay, I think this one is just about locked in. Just a little file/layers management and maybe some tweaking of the adjustment layers. Oh, and going over the list to make sure I didn't miss any of the bullet points.

Re: Any ideas for a board game?
I would define landing spaces in the corners as well as around the edges, even if they are blank outlines to make it look more complete as a playing board.
Re: Any ideas for a board game?
When you say "landing spaces", what do you mean? Like runways?
