LOL. Yeah. Re: Dwimmermount
You are correct, sir! I won the "submit three Dunsany-based petty gods" mini contest. I think Greg at Gorgonmilk might've got the idea from the petty gods I submitted previously, as he was noting the Dunsanian influence on them (and tied it to my nom de internet).rredmond wrote:Even better, if I'm reading things right, Welleran has made a submission!
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to seeing this even more than I was before!

I, too, submitted stuff to this project. You can check them out here:

From Tavis on G+ "We signed a contract with James earlier today giving Autarch the rights we'll need to fulfill all the Kickstarter rewards and bonus goals as well as making them available for sale to folks who missed out on the KS (or have since decided they want to add things). I'll hope to do a full update soon but wanted to share the good news!"

Re: Dwimmermount
So, if Dwimmermount is ultimately not going to be written by James Maliszewski, is it still the most anticipated product of the OSR? I mean, I know it's still anticipated, because it doesn't exist yet, but is it still the *most* anticipated? Is it now like if RJK started Bottle City, but then someone else completed the last 80%? Is it even the same product?

Re: Dwimmermount
Once it was stated that James was not going to be able to finish it, I asked for a refund. An unfortunate situation, but it was no longer going to be what I invested in. Bummer, but life goes on...
That's one thing I've never sat down to tackle, a mega-dungeon. Maybe it's time I do that!

I just requested a refund, too. I actually enjoyed Grognardia for the most part, and I think James is a decent enough fellow. His mega-dungeon idea intrigued me, so I supported it. I'm not interested in other dudes fleshing it out or whatever. I'd rather have the cash.

I wouldn't be interested in an album by session muscians, either.

I'm on the fence about the refund, myself.

Re: Dwimmermount
I briefly considered a refund but I'm hoping there's sufficient original material to make it worthwhile.
I was very much inspired by his blog to do my own megadungeon (there were other inspirations, as well, of course). I'm not expecting some sort of supreme masterpiece -- I'm expecting a good, solid dungeon that his peeps found fun to play. I don't need "groundbreaking" or "never before seen" just interesting and pillagable!

Re: Dwimmermount
The latest Dwimmermount update (#50) indicates that they have changed their minds regarding the refunds they offered in last week's update. Something to do with yet another misunderstanding, and also not being able to afford refunds after all. I really can't make heads or tails of it anymore, and I really don't care, to be honest. I wish them luck.
