Re: Gary Con 2013
I lost my voice while traveling to Gary Con yesterday, so I'm taking the evening off after playing in a couple games today: Jeff Sparks ran his Realm of the Technomancer module for Mutant Future (kind of a Gamma World clone), and grodog's Aliens game. I also had a couple long chats with Rob Kuntz. Cool stuff!
Here are some photos from Thursday.
Pre-game prep for Allan Grohe's Aliens game. Michael Curtis (The Dungeon Alphabet, Stonehell Dungeon) is the backmost of the three standing people on the left. Luke Gygax also played, but isn't in this shot. I played Hicks and got hauled back to be implanted at the end of turn two, IIRC. Then I took over Bishop (we added a couple extra marines beyond the standard 9 for this scenario), and got eliminated on probably turn 7 or 8.

Very early in the Aliens game. Click to go to the photostream for several more shots of this game. It ended very badly for us

Jeff Talanian running Ghost Ship of the Desert Dunes. Grodog is second from the right.

Tegel Manor, using a really big player's map of the manor.

Re: Gary Con 2013
The gentleman to Jeff's left is Jeffery St Clair (a/k/a Ken).
The guys with the matching pale green ghost-buster shirts are all from Florida. They game together and come up to GaryCon together every year. They play a house-ruled OD&D. Allan, Rich and I played in their pick-up game on the Sunday night of last year's GaryCon, making it the last game of the con. One of the funnest games I've ever played in as a player.
I can't remember the DM's name. The guy to his left is Noah Guilbault, and the guy to the left in the foreground...can't remember his name either. Damn my tired brain!

And finished up the day with some Jousting...

Sir William ended with a middling score. Too much ale before his tournament it seems.

Ragnar from Ligedog's game. His only successful attack finished the demon off, so of course he'll take all the credit for the kill.

2013 man. My fucking tablet has developed a sound issue when using headphones and a speck of dust has appeared behind the touch panel of my desktop. Oh well, if it is the worst thing that happens ...Chainsaw wrote: Looks like a great time!![]()

What is happening with Chain Mail this year? I heard there was a game scheduled, live feed?

My archers firing on the Viking charge (the next round some punk kid rolled amazingly well with his axe chuckers and slaughtered them to a man).
