O/AD&D PDFs coming back?

You can talk about "almost" anything here.

I'm taking the "wait and see" approach, which is a shift in my attitude. Normally, I'd be skeptical about the prospect of WotC offering my anything worth my time and money. I guess their handling of the 1e AD&D reprints made me less pessimistic.

I am expecting the ability to buy portable document format TSR-era items, just as it was before. Should the quality be improved and some sort of print-on-demand functionality be made available, that would be great, but I am not too desperate to buy much of anything from the back catalogue. This is in stark contrast to my feelings a few years ago, when I was still curious to see a lot of the extant material.

exactly; their approach to the electronic frontier has been smooth sailing from day one.

They really are the "wizards" of the Coast. I've been consistently... "impressed," to say the least.

Pessimistic view: It'll probably be another "D&D Insider" craptacular fiasco.
Guys, "electronic format" is publisher-speak for PDF. Relax.

I'd like to point out that the D&D books I bought on DriveThruRPG never vanished on me. I paid for access to 'em, and I still have it.
??? You do???
Yes. The deal on the site is that you get three or four downloads of a particular title once you pay for it. I recently had reason to redownload one of the discontinued D&D PDFs, and it downloaded just fine.

That's odd. Not odd bad, just odd. Actually it's a damn fine thing.

I may pay to see what they have if they put it all behind a DDI-like paywall.
