Random Dungeon & Treasure

Hello,

I'm using the Random Dungeon generation system in the DMG and I have a question: When room contents are generated as Monster & Treasure, do I also generate treasure for the monster and add it to the treasure generated on table V.G: Treasure?

For example, say my room contains a Monster & Treasure and the monster is generated as a Gorgon. Do I generate treasure type E for the Gorgon and add it to any treasure generated on table V.G: Treasure?

Thanks in advance.

I only do so when the monster randomly generated is MUCH higher than the level of the PCs adventuring in the area.

Otherwise, I just use the Treasure Table.

Don't know what the btb answer is. 8)

Okay, that makes sense. Unless I hear something more compelling I'll go with that. Thanks.

Nope. The Table V.G treasure (including the modifications noted) is a replacement for, not an addition to, the monster's normal (wilderness lair) Treasure Type.

The Treasure Type statistic is only used for full monster lairs, where the numbers of monsters are chosen from the No. Appearing range. It is not used for normal dungeon encounters, which is what you get with the random dungeon generator.

Thanks, very helpful.
