Knights & Knaves Alehouse

Recent situation came up that I wanted to seek clarification.
Some A1 Spoilers possible I guess...


DMing A1 over on Unseen Servant
The party is fighting the head Slaver guy, he goes invisible.
Dredd casts ESP on him.
The slaver is running away and leaves the 25' radius AoE.
He may have to make an about face, if he does and comes back into the AoE while the spell is still running, then the ESP kicks back in, correct?
My gut says "yes" but wanted to just run it through the Alehouse and see what everyone thought.

That's my reading based on your description, Ron, but I don't see anything in the PHB about a 25' AoE. I just checked OSRIC, and it appears there, but it's not in 1e originally. I don't remember why this was changed in OSRIC, though, and it's not based on the SRD version either (which has a cone-shaped AoE). Perhaps someone else remembers??

Oh, that's explains it! (I was confused and wondering if I'd missed a rule, somewhere -- even looked in the DMG to see if there was something, there.)

Ack. Sorry about that. I'm using OSRIC and have been clarifyng/adjudicating with the 1E books. But forgot to do that here
