World of Tanks

Post by Juju EyeBall »

Been having fun with this free online game.
There's nothing quite like tooling around in Panzer.
The DUNGEON MASTERS GUIDE City of Brass cover is good and bad at the same time. While its very representational of a high level adventure, it sends a clear message to the dumb: Satan is going to cornhole Miss USA with a big red member and theres nothing science or the military can do about it. - Gene Weigel

Not really a run and gun game. Hang back, use cover. Take on tanks your same size.

Man - this game is better than crack!
I can't figure out what free experience is used for, any help here?

<edit - never mind, figured it out>
<edit 2 - no, I had it backwards. You convert gold into experience? What is the point? Obviously I am going to have to watch the tutorials again more carefully this time>

Some thing you can only buy with gold ( tanks, ammo)

Hey Clangador, I put you on my contact list there and would've done the same with DD, but the search came up empty. Lot's of DungeonMaster names though... Tootin' around in a T-46 mostly at this point. Fun game.

I gotta be honest here (and a bit curious). Is it really that good? The stupid spam-ads on various websites make it seem so 2D-cheesy.

That is something you have to decide for yourself. I have fun playing it. It is the best tank sim. I have ever played. It takes some time to get use to as far as tactics go. But it is free, so you can alway try it out there is no cost involved. If you want to buy gold for a premuim tank or ammo, that is where the cost comes in. I did purchase a premium tank (Lowe) and a month of game time. You ger more XP from a premium account. It is my understanding that most players don't invest any money in it. What can I say? I am a sucker.
