Wait. Colonial Genocide? Is that like too many habaneros in your salsa?

I like orc babies. They taste like chicken.
You've been inhaling too many fireball fumes, they taste like unwashed-mushrooms and pork gristle.
Isn't that what chicken is supposed to taste like? Dammit, no more buying packages from La Prix Industries anymore.

Maybe if we could just stop for a moment and try to understand why goblins like to eat human babies raw, then maybe we could learn to empathize with them and live in peace and harmony with the world.

Forget about all those dead Orc babies. Bargle, there is only one thing I want to know from you:
Why? Why did Aleena have to die? WHY?!
I'll tell you why, it's because she ditched you for that low level fighter, isn't it? ISN'T IT?!
................
And to the rest of y'all, why even bother with a serious response to this gibberish? It is like when people call me a racist or a homophobe, or whatever. Most folks will reply "No I'm not!" Why go on the defensive when someone makes a patently ridiculous charge? Just laugh in their face.

The soft, mild milk-fed flesh contrasts beautifully with the crisp sharpness of the onion and garlic.
Or so I've heard...

In my current campaign the PC's are essentially acting like conquistadors, I've got the odd feeling Dray wouldn't approve.

I always preferred the original.

About the original post: It does not sound like the D&D I grew up playing. It's just kind of dumb --- like talking about the socio-economic implications of a chess player sacrificing his pawn to win the game. At some point one must decide that the chess pieces are not really people and no one dies if you play chess... and if you can't make that distinction, then you probably can't play games without losing your mind.
Then again, the fact that the essay writer seems confused about the difference between reality and fantasy is not surprising. Remember the internet firestorms over 'Carcosa' or 'Fantasy Fucking Vietnam'? In both cases, we had people getting pretty heated over 'too much bad stuff' in the fantasy, to the point that just mentioning either book was a prelude to a threadlock (I hope that does not happen here). I wonder if it's just a question of what degree or kind of 'subversive' content can you and your gaming group stand? And I think a group needs to decide that for themselves.
I don't pretend to know where the line is drawn for everyone. I remember seeing pictures of some Asian kids dressed up for 'cosplay' in faux Nazi uniforms... the sight made me wonder if they knew what the significance of dressing up as sort of sexy miniskirted and androgynous members of the SS might be... but I realize what I am really asking is, "Do they know what the significance of dressing up that way has to me?"
Then again, when I was a youngster I remember a rousing game of Gamma World where the members of a faction were goosestepping around and giving stiff armed salutes and throwing handgrenades, etc., and it was all done in fun. Or a game of D&D in which there was a faction of 'fascist' elves...
I don't take any of 'the game' that seriously. It is meant to be fun. But I'm prepared to admit that my idea of 'fun' might not match yours. I might laugh at a dirty joke while someone else is going to be offended. Telling them they ought to change their point of view to be more like mine is probably just wasting time. If I know that someone doesn't like a certain kind of joke, I just won't tell it around them... but I might offend them in the process of figuring out what their limits might be. I guess that is a part of life.

And how many games are there that recreate ACTUAL WARS where REAL PEOPLE died?
Yeah, a lot.
The whole thing is ridiculous.
