What you doing this weekend?

You can talk about "almost" anything here.

Boys and throwing rocks at each other for fun...we use to have "rock wars" all the time.
When I was doing demolition work gutting a hospital building's inner floors for college jobs over a few summers, we would save up light bulbs and have light bulb fights at the end of the summer---throwing long flourescent ones like spear, using trash can lids as shields, smaller ones like grenades for indirect fire, and like rocks for full-on hits :D It helped that we already had lots of safety gear, I'm sure ;)

BB guns here as well. My cousin lived in Running Springs, CA, which is a mountain community near Big Bear. When we stayed there we'd go out into the wooded mountainside and have BB gun wars. We also dug little pit traps - just big enough to break a leg if hit at a full run - and would try to cover them with pine branches and needles. Fortunately none of us ever ran into one going any faster than a walk, but they kept us honest.

I was going to play in a monthly Harn game but it’s being postponed. More time to paint minis I guess!

My friends and I got way too many bottle rockets, firecrackers and roman candles for a fireworks war right before we all went to college. Probably way too much beer too. It was attackers (Allies) versus defenders (Axis), costumes and everything. Worse thing I did was volunteer to defend our crappily dug fox hole. Bottle rockets shooting into the hole, embedding themselves into the dirt, and then exploding was no fun. It was the biggest target going. :) Fun times... stupid times, but fun times.

Speaking of fireworks, my birthday is on the 4th of July. One year, when I turned 20, I was working at the McDonalds right next to the Grand Canyon. Most all employees lived in mobile homes right behind the McDonalds. My co-workers got me a cake and someone secretly replaced many of the candles with fireworks. It wouldn't have been such a big deal except mobile home living rooms are super cramped. I think we squeezed almost twenty people in there singing happy birthday when they lit the "candles." Once those fireworks started going off the sound was REALLY loud, cake was flying all over everyone, and it was difficult for everyone to get out. The cake looked like the surface of the moon afterward, and it tasted like gunpowder. Most people had little bits of red, white and blue icing all over them. It was my best birthday ever. :)

Yeah. If you want to impress the hell out of us...get back to us when you reach 101.

It's cooler and cloudy in southern Wisconsin. I was going to see Solo but my son was kinda "meh" about it so the enthusiasm drained from me. Maybe I'll grill for everyone later. Now that I think of it, this will probably be the first Star Wars movie I don't go to the theater for. I even went to see the cartoon when that came out.

Wife’s out of town, so last night the boy and I went out for pizza and then stayed up “late” watching Jurassic World (i.e., 915PM, but he thought it was SUPER COOL because usually he goes to bed at 730PM). Went to IHOP this morning, then to his friend’s birthday party this afternoon. He’s at his aunt’s tonight. I’m slamming a few jager shots, drinking beer and having wings at a local joint. Who knows, it may get really crazy and I might post something only funny to me in a bit. :D

Picked up some crowlers (saison, gosë, and berliner weisse) and am bbq'ing marinated pork tenderloin. Wife is doing baked potatoes and we've got fresh corn on the cob and some other veggies to roast.

Also, it's hot as balls.

Its raining and thunderstorming alot here...so my wife and I started watching Queen of the South on Netflix. It might just be me, but I keep hearing morphed Scarface theme music being used at times.

My daughter went out camping with a friend and her parents last night and we are just waiting for the world to wake up to see what the aftermath was during the storms last night. They had a camper so probably fine.

I think the wife and I will go to Lake Geneva today and walk around and randomly shop. It is supposed to be humid and 90's here today so we'll see if the lake breeze saves us. Just sick of sitting in the house during summer months. Now, it isn't Texas hot with the 100+ temperatures...but the humidity here will amp it up quite a bit. Of course, not all of Texas is a dry heat. I remember being stationed at Lackland (San Antonio) in 1992...and I couldn't wait for those guys to shave my head.
