I like PbP for the pace reasons as well. I DMed a PbP which was fun. When they fall apart, it isn't fun!
I know DF is maxed at PbPs, but unseenservant just started and has the traditional PbP set up, and RPOL has an interesting set up as well that focuses on PbPost.
http://tripleoakleaf.myfreeforum.org/ is a less traveled website, but the Admin over there encourages and will set up a PbP for you.

I am in a B/X PbP on Dead Games Society forum.

The Dead Games Society guys, well, they cater to dead games, that is, old school out-of-print games. They ran a number of games at GaryCon and will be back there next year. And they are very welcoming to anyone wishing to run a Dead Game PbP, even me.

I play with Skype and my OSRIC ruleset for Fantasy Ground II. I've created an extension for Ad&d1e as well.
I've try PbP, it was cool but too slow and I get tired of that style of play.

I run a pbp game over on RPOL, and I love the fact that you can play with folks from around the world that could never get online at the same time each day. I suppose if I had the time, I'd experiment with Skype or something, but I have two ftf groups, so an additional pbp is enough for me right now.
